Innovative Community Engagement in Financial Literacy.

At The Oasis Partnership, we are committed to ensuring that financial literacy education is accessible and meaningful for all members of our community, regardless of language barriers or cultural differences.

One of the ways we achieve this is by training community members, who speak the same language as our participants, to facilitate and lead our workshops.

This approach allows us to provide translated sessions, such as those in Urdu, ensuring that the content is clearly understood by participants who may not speak English fluently. Not only does this improve financial literacy, but it also helps participants enhance their English skills, making the learning process a dual benefit.

We have invested in the quality of our delivery by employing a dedicated manager to oversee and support our facilitators, ensuring supervision, guidance, and a consistent, high-quality service. Furthermore, we collaborate with local community connectors to introduce us to diverse groups, including African, Turkish, Ukrainian, and West Indian communities, broadening the reach and impact of our Routes to Work and Multiply programmes.

Additionally, through co-production, we’ve engaged participants in designing digital workshops based on their real concerns and interests. This ensures that our content is not only relevant but addresses the specific financial worries people face, making the training truly participant-led and impactful.
